Space Hotel
Two stable points L4 and L5, located in the Moon's orbit but off the position of the Moon are positions that have been studied as possible sites for hotels and space colonies.
Buildings in orbit will be able to grow by adding modules.
Some hotels may be designed to rotate to create artificial gravity. A viewing lounge in the hotel axis can point at the Earth.
Orbital Technologies plans to open the first space hotel in history in 2016, 250 miles above the earth. Stays can range from three days to six months. The station could also serve as a stopover for around-the-moon trips.
Another space hotel concept is being explored by Manx-registered Excalibar Almaz. This hotel would be placed 400km up in space and have a two-meter-wide window.
